Clutch Kits & Clutch Parts
Tractor and heavy duty clutch kits are essential to thousands of overhauls across the country, and we are proud to offer the best in the industry. All our tractor clutch components— remanufactured or new—undergo rigorous quality control and stress testing to assure our customers can rely on what they buy.
Fast and efficient shipping makes sure your parts come when you need them. All of our tractor clutch discs, pressure plates, and bearings meet or exceed OEM specifications and are available for multiple makes and models from Allis Chalmers to White.
Woven Vs. Ceramic Clutch Discs
For heavy duty engines and tractors the stability, engagement, and durability of a replacement clutch kit are key. Woven organic clutch discs provide smooth engagement, wear resistance and strength. These types of clutch discs are ideal for performance, durability and cost. They are typically used in most smaller to mid-sized tractors and machines.
Ceramic padded discs are perfect for larger, more substantial heavy duty applications and heavy load scenarios. AGKITS ceramic faced discs can withstand considerable heat and tension. They are ideal for repeated engagement and disengagements that can overheat the clutch of a woven kit in the wrong scenario. You'll find these types of replacement clutch kits in larger model tractors and machines.
We offer ceramic style clutch discs in smaller machine applications too. These would be an upgrade to your woven style. Keep in mind that the shifting on ceramic style discs in these smaller applications can be considered stiff. The feeling of these engagements is all up to personal preference, but upgrading to a ceramic clutch disc will provide additional longevity.

Troubleshooting Clutch Issues and Failures
Noise Or Rattle At Low RPM
This is caused by either the spring center of the disc is riveted solid, or the spring center of the disc is hitting stops, or there is excessive wear to the splines on the disc or the input shaft.
Replace disc
Noise when depressing clutch pedal
Faulty pilot bearing
Replace pilot bearing
Faulty release bearing
Replace release bearing
Pilot bearing not installed
Install pilot bearing
Premature bearing failure on pull type clutch
Poor maintenance
Grease bearing regularly
Bearing under constant load
Adjust release fork to release bearing pads
Clutch slips or does not hold under load
Pressure plate assembly and/or disc are worn
Replace pressure plate and/or disc
Oil contamination on disc
Clean oil from disc or replace disc. Also check & replace PTO seal or rear crankshaft seal
Flywheel step machined improperly
Remachine flywheel to correct step specifications
Nuts or bolts used to pull levels down during installation were not removed
Remove nuts or bolts
Clutch won’t release (release levers too low)
Flywheel step machined improperly
Remachine flywheel to correct step specifications
Pressure plate and/or disc bent (Tractor forced back together or disc dropped)
Replace pressure plate and/or disc
Disc distorted by heat
Replace disc
Disc too thick
Replace disc with a thinner disc
Clutch installed backwards
Turn disc around
Clutch releases prematurely (release levers too high)
Flywheel step machined improperly
Remachine flywheel to correct step specifications
Disc too thin
Replace disc with thicker disc
Jumpy engagement or poor release
Disc bent (Tractor forced back together or disc dropped)
Replace disc
Disc distorted from heat
Replace disc
Pressure plate not adjusted correctly
Replace pressure plate or adjust levers to correct specification
Flywheel not ground to crankshaft mounting flange
Remachine flywheel to correct specification
86 Series cab mount worn excessively
Replace cab mounts
Release lever cracked or broken
Replace pressure plate or release levers
Pressure plate pivot block loose
Replace pressure plate
Disc binding on input shaft.
Clean splines or replace disc if splines are worn
Pressure plate not flat in flywheel
Inspect flywheel to ensure pressure plate mounting surface is not tapered
Faulty pilot bearing
Replace pilot bearing
Release levers burnt
Faulty release bearing
Replace pressure plate or release levers and release bearing
Worn linkage, release bearing riding against levers
Replace pressure plate or release levers
Riding clutch
Replace pressure plate or release levers and instruct operator to remove foot from clutch pedal
Defective clutch booster
Rebuild or replace booster
Clutch disc hitting crankshaft mounting bolts
Flywheel machined below minimum specification
Replace flywheel
Finger adjustment incorrect on Massey Ferguson tractors with Spicer dual style clutch
Air Ring was left out
Replace Air Ring
